Wychwood Park feels nothing like downtown Toronto— despite being two subway stops from the downtown.
The quiet, forested neighbourhood is a private community of about 60 homes.
The large, beautiful homes nestle in among the trees.
Most homes were built in the early 1900’s in the Arts and Crafts style of the time.
The neighbourhood was created to be a picturesque community— named for the Wychwood forest in Oxfordshire, England.
Roads and amenities are paid for by the local residents.
There’s a private tennis court….
… and at the centre of the neighbourhood is a pond— originally created in the early 1900s for artists to paint.
While Wychwood Park is a private neighbourhood, the public is welcome to visit and walk through.
