After parking, we hit the Oxtongue River Trail to see some fierce rapids flow. The short and sweet hike is relatively easy at just one km long…
The trail wraps around the perimeter of the rapids… the rocks are definitely slippery so don’t wear your flip flops. :)
A little walking assistance…
The Oxtongue Ragged Falls are Ontario’s largest and strongest rapids to watch…
… we could actually hear the white water crashing all the way from the car!
Taking it all in with a therapeutic break…
After we got our nature fix, we took the scenic route out onto Oxtongue Rapids Road where the pines were high and the leaves had a splash of color!
