We decided to visit two spots known for salmon spawning— we started at Humber River.
Humber River is known for being one of the best spots to watch the salmon run in Toronto….
The action happens when temps drop below 18 degrees. Making September through late October the perfect time for spectators to watch salmon migrate upstream to lay eggs….
Go fishy go! These salmon were trying like heck to make the jump!
Our second stop was Corbett’s Dam in Port Hope…
We saw a couple salmon make it all the way to the top jumping the dragons gate… impressive!
Did you know the salmon actually die right after spawning?! Yup, an intense yearly event that thankfully starts all over again with those freshly laid eggs!
